OVERVIEW
The SVAN 943 is all digital, Type 2 sound level meter, acoustic dose meter and 1/1 or 1/3 octave analyser. It is intended to acoustic measurements, environmental noise monitoring, occupational health and safety monitoring. It can be used by acoustic consultants and safety engineers, in Public Services, in industry R&D department etc.
Using power of its digital signal processor the SVAN 943 can perform real time 1/1or 1/3 octave analysis including statistical analysis. The SVAN 943 has built in all required weighting filters. Three acoustic "profiles" can be measured in parallel with independently defined filters and RMS detectors time constant (concurrent Impulse, Fast and Slow measurements are possible). Time history for all profiles could be recorded in the memory buffer.
Measurement results can be stored in large (3 MB), non-volatile memory and easy downloaded to any PC using the RS 232 interface and SvanPC software. Thanks to built in rechargeable battery and robust, lightweight construction, the SVAN 943 can be used in hard environmental conditions over the work day.
